Living in the Piney Woods of East Texas I'm an adventuresome retired lady enjoying my last remaining years of a wonderful life. Sharing adventures with a like-minded man would be a cherry on top!

I was raised by religious parents (still living, see pix of me playing shuffleboard with my father) on a farm in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Not into organized religion, so left at age 17, explored my wild and crazy personality during the civil rights/Vietnam Era but got sensible with Gloria Steinem as one of my heroines. Career and home equity and investments became my focus in life after an 11-yr marriage ended. Now that I'm retired, I'm back in the country, but this time in the Pineywoods of East Texas. Texas is a great state, but I don't get along too well with neighboring Rednecks and Southern Gentlemen who are too restrained and can't laugh at themselves. They're their own worse enemy.

I recently returned from Culebra Island (Puerto Rico, dyed my hair beach blond, see picture), was doing a stint as a caretaker for beach apartments in exchange for free board and SCUBA diving opportunities. Flew back to TX for rotator cuff surgery, recovered at my cottage along Lake Livingston in June. But fortunately, will escape the TX heat this summer and will dogsit for friends near Toronto. September, trekking and camping the Machu Picchu Trail and doing some homestays in Peru. I'm not always on the go, spend a good deal of time keeping on top of MLPs and equities and the markets' reaction to world economies. Next year, if I can get a handful of retirees interested, will travel the western states with my campervan and ATV and explore national forests, armed with bear spray, GPS and SPOT units of course! Would like to go SCUBA diving once a year, too. Too many wonderful outdoor activities to do! By the way, I'm pretty smart and intuitive, so if that ruffles your feathers, best to move on.
