I Love the Country Because it has the sound of brids, the smell of spring, summer, autumn, and winter. I can watch butterflies on flowers, roll in the grass, build bonfires of leaves, snap twiggs in the winter, fish in the lake and cook them over a campfire, play hide and seek in the woods, run as fast as I want, climb a tree as high as I dare, throw a rope over a limb and call it a swing, learn to drive on a back road, see cattle and horses and goats in a pasture, look up at night and find the constellations, and try to count the stars, Skinny dip in the pond, sing as loud as I want because no one will hear me, laugh out loud because no one will think I am crazy, and walk barefoot any place I want to go. Those are things I could never do in the city.
