"Ex-Urbanite" is in the process of moving rural. I working towards a small farm ... perhaps within 45 minutes of a city or university...

I'm a "mature man" ... (smile) ... still gym fit... YOUTHFUL middle-age African American with a good sense of humor and I'm looking for friends to talk to.

I've traveled, had two previous careers ... one that "dot.coms" crashed and the other ... 16+ years spent in Social Service trenches ... almost crashed me. (It's silly work to tell crack addicts: "NO NO NO ... Don't smoke crack!")

I'm now almost finished with truck school and I plan to drive interstate for a while. I want to look at states/places ... feel the people there. So far I'm looking at land in:

1. Mississippi
2. Missouri
3. Kentucky
4. Kansas
5. Arkansas
6. California
7. Tennessee

I'm a writer at heart, and concepts like permaculture, alternative building, cover crops, organic EVERYTHING is just plain getting me giddy these days. I want to raise "small" animals (e.g. dogs, rabbits, chickens... etc...) work ... drive one them tractors ...

God has pulled me out of "social psychology" and placed me smack down into spiritual ground zero. I'm tired of parking tickets, and urban crime, and hearing my neighbors getting dressed. I want quality of life. Now ... to find a country gal on the slender side... one who likes to smile...
